Every year our council has the pleasure of hosting our Administrative Team Conference (ATC). It’s a day of fun and training, a day to connect with friends and council staff, a day that reminds us why we are Girl Scout Volunteers – our girls!

This was my first ATC and it is now officially one of my favorite days of the year! For those whom I didn’t have the chance to meet, my name is Connie Walker and I am the new Volunteer Services Executive. A long time volunteer, this role combines my passion for giving back, developing and supporting fellow volunteers, and creating a culture of appreciation all year long. I am so excited to serve in this role and kick off the new Girl Scout year!

Volunteering has played an integral and important part of in my life. From a young candy striper at South Suburban Hospital in Chicago to a recent Brownie Co-Leader here in our council to dedicating my time to my two sons and the numerous activities and organizations they have been a part of…being a volunteer is a part of my core. I’m sure many of our volunteers can relate!

I am so excited to support all our amazing volunteers in this new role and if you are ever in Raleigh feel free to drop by to say hello, give me a quick call with a question, or send an email if you ever need help. I’m here for you and our girls 100%.
