Happy New Year, Girl Scouts! Last year, our Girl Scouts accomplished amazing things, like coming to the aid of those in need and learning new skills virtually, and we know that in 2021 girls will continue to grow and thrive through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. We are excited to expand upon our traditional programs and recent additions from 2020, along with continuing to innovate with new opportunities for girls to unleash their inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader). At Girl Scouts, we believe that every girl should have the opportunity to become her best self, and we have the tools they need to do so. Whether it’s learning about STEM in new ways or getting involved in the community, there is a variety of ways to get involved individually, with their troop, or with their family, and we can’t wait for all that is in store!

Check out some of the opportunities we are most excited for below!

1. In-Person Event Opportunities

We have loved seeing our Girl Scouts again by safely hosting in-person activities in the outdoors! Examples include our Family Fun Days and Troop Days at our camps. We will add more opportunities throughout the year, check our Activities page often to make sure you don’t miss out!

2. NEW Virtual Events

We will continue to offer virtual events for Girl Scouts to engage in safely from their home or backyard, from virtual camp to Journeys! Check out our upcoming opportunities on our Activities page, and the GSUSA Virtual Events Calendar for national events.

3. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Programs

Building Beyond Today is our new program that encourages girls to learn about different perspectives and the world around them and enact change. We have a variety of opportunities for girls, including our Thrive Book Series and Thrive Talk Series and even an upcoming virtual Art Show! Learn more.

4. 2021 Girl Scout Cookie Program

The 2021 Girl Scout Cookie Program begins Saturday, January 16, and Girl Scouts will be able to unleash their business skills in ways they never have before! Stay tuned for some special announcements, and make sure to check out our Resources for Cookie Sellers page to prepare.

5. NEW Community Partner Events

Our community partners are businesses, organizations, and content experts who provide unique opportunities, activities, and events for our members that align with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. They have been providing incredible opportunities for girls, check them out here!
