Why do YOU “Girl Scout”? Is it the awesome friends and memories that you have made along the way? How about the incredible opportunities to learn new skills outside the classroom without the pressure to succeed the first time? Or is it just to have a safe, all-girl space to be yourself, have fun, and let loose surrounded by girls and volunteers that care about you?

We know better than anybody that there are so many reasons to be a Girl Scout. From STEM to environmental stewardship to helping others, there is something for everyone and the Girl Scouting experience is truly unique to each girl.

That’s why we are hosting a contest this month asking girls to share their “why” with us. All girls within our council can participate by recording a short video wearing their Girl Scout vest telling us their favorite part of being a Girl Scout. The contest will be open through October and winners will be announced on our social media pages at the beginning of November. Two winners will be chosen to win a $25 council gift card that can be used in our retail shops.
