This summer is going to be beyond ordinary and we are offering your Girl Scout ways to explore, grow, and create from the comfort of your home or backyard! 

Whether focusing on our STEM offerings through badges and beyond, working to develop leadership skills through Journeys or choosing to bring some of our camp adventures home, your girl is sure to have an extraordinary time!

This summer’s opportunities fall into four categories:

Beyond Camp

Our 2020 Beyond Camp summer sessions are designed to help your camper experience a little bit of the summer camp feel while at home. This will kick off with a Family Camp Out to celebrate the beginning of summer on June 19th, with weekly sessions following. 

In our weekly sessions, girls (Girl Scout Brownies– Ambassadors) can expect to spend 3 hours of time engaged in online activities led by staff, and an additional 1-2 hours of independent time as she follows prompts to explore, create and play on her own each day. For Girl Scout Daisies, we are offering both full and mini sessions. In these sessions, Daisies can expect to spend 1.5 hours of time engaged in online activities led by staff, and an additional hour of independent time as she follows prompts to explore, create and play on her own each day.

Friendship Fires

Join your fellow Girl Scouts from across our council for a friendly fireside chat guided by your favorite adult Girl Scout friends!
There will be Friendship Fire groups for all grade levels and each week we will meet to explore different topics together. Examples include a visit from an animal expert and creating a vision board! Your registration allows your Girl Scout to attend any and all sessions, and registered girls will be mailed a Special Edition Friendship Fire Patch. 

Badges and Beyond

Our Badges and Beyond boxes are designed in a low tech/no tech way for girls to work on earning one badge per box. We are offering two series of boxes as part of our Beyond Ordinary summer program. Badge boxes will ship beginning July 13, 2020.  Boxes will include items such as:

• Grade–level badge requirements
• Grade–level badge earned through box
• Companion workbook
• Activity supplies for one badge
• And more!

Go Beyond!

Join us for a variety of opportunities for girls of all ages, like Journeys, council patch programs, and partner programs. The best part? We will meet virtually to complete them together, making plenty of time to learn new things while making friends and memories. Opportunities include a virtual Journey series like Sow What? for Girl Scout Seniors, the Sea Turtle Patch program for younger Girl Scouts, and Program Aide Core Training for Cadettes-Ambassadors. There is something for every Girl Scout.
