While camp is all about trying new things, developing skills, conquering fears and making lifelong friends, we know that every G.I.R.L. is unique and approaches “fun” in her own way.

Camp is already magical but now you can escape into a world where you can become your favorite heroine. You’ll hang with your friends- old, new, and from the big screen- while participating in traditional camp activities.
With your help, 24 girls get to spend the week at Hogwarts and 16 girls get to grab their capes to save the world during Superhero Week.
Summer is a time for sleeping in, alarm clocks not needed.

With session times adjusted back a few hours, you can have the best of all worlds – sleep-in in the morning, stargazing and campfires in the evening! It doesn’t get much better than Night Owl week at camp!
Your gift allows 7 Night Owls to start a little later and explore the beauty of the night.

“She wanted to be like all of the other girls in her troop and go to summer camp but has trouble being away from home overnight. We were thrilled to find out there was a day camp run by volunteers in our county! Luckily we weren’t far from home because she talked nonstop about her day!”
Offered at various locations throughout the council’s 41-county footprint, day camps provide an enlightening experience for girls to explore new things and meet new friends… and still make it home in time for family dinner to tell their parents all about the day.
With your help, 13 girls from Lenoir County will experience day camp this summer!
Community is so important to me. Any time I have free time, including summer, I like to give back!

Summer Leadership Camp is a week of leadership and learning at Camp Mary Atkinson for middle school girls. Campers participate in traditional camp activities, but also dive deeply into leadership training experiences, including developing their own Take Action project to bring home with her after camp ends.
Because of you, 72 girls will return home from camp and make their community a better place!
My idea of a great summer day is lounging by the pool!

Two out of three camp properties have a pool and two out of three have a waterfront so there is no excuse to not be water-logged by the end of the week!
Because of you and other donors, 231 girls will have a weeklong camp experience this summer!
