Ask any girl what she loves about being a Girl Scout and selling cookies makes the list every time, hands down. Girls love counting the boxes, giving people their change, and seeing their customers’ excitement when they get their cookies. And if that’s not enough to get you motivated, here’s more on why you don’t want to miss out on Girl Scouts – NC Coastal Pines 2015 Girl Scout Cookie Sale!

It’s about way more than selling cookies.

Actually, each box of cookies is packed with a lifetime supply of learning. Selling cookies teaches girls goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics – aspects essential to leadership, to success, and to life. Our Girl Scout Cookie sale is a financial literacy program and is helping girls build confidence. When a Girl Scout sells cookies, she is learning she can be and do anything she sets her mind to!

Each box is packed with a different adventure.

Earning money to achieve goals is what cookie season is all about! Cookie sale proceeds help troops fund everything from patches, meeting supplies, local activities, service projects, and year-end activities. Girls love deciding with their troop how they’ll use their cookie money each season. Proceeds help their next adventure – their next dream – come true.

Girl Scout Cookies bring a sweet taste of home to our military.

This year we are celebrating 10 amazing years of Operation Cookie Drop, a council-wide community service project which has donated nearly 700,000 boxes of cookies to our deployed military service personnel. Having a donation jar for spare change at your booth is an easy way to support this program and girls can earn a special anniversary patch for participating. In celebration of our tenth anniversary, we hope to send 100,000 boxes to troops this year. Help make this mission possible!

Patches, troop trips, and polar bears… Oh My!

Girl Scouts can earn these rewards and recognitions and more in the 2015 Cookie Sale. Well, not a real polar bear of course, but a pretty cute stuff animal. Or perhaps they’ll get a chance to see a real polar bear in during a troop trip to the NC Zoo in Asheboro paid for by cookie proceeds! In addition, Girl Scouts who sell 500 boxes can choose from Superstar Destinations and earn admission tickets to amusement and water parks, gift cards to favorite restaurants, or “Cookie Dough” which can be used to pay for a week at summer camp.

They’re not only tasty. Selling Girl Scout Cookies is FUN!

From setting goals to decorating a wagon or a troop parent’s car for Walkabout Week, preparing and participating in the Cookie Sale is fun! Girls love decorating signs, making posters and other promotional items for the sale. This year’s Bling Your Booth contest has gone national and boasts a $500 cash prize. And taking some time to enjoy a cookie or two during the sale is always fun. Milk and Girl Scout cookies makes everyone smile.
