Now that the dust has settled, the numbers have been crunched, and some last-minute donations have come in, we are ecstatic to report that this year’s Building Beyond Tomorrow campaign brought in
- $53,611 through
- 314 donations from
- 226 donors (many of you generously donated more than once, so thank you!)
One thing that makes Building Beyond Tomorrow so special is the way our Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines community rallies together to support our Girl Scouts. One hundred fifty-one people donated on Giving HERsday alone. 151! We want to shout out a group of donors who made that incredible feat possible.
On Giving HERsday, six donors came together to match the first $16,000 we raised that day. Matching gifts are unique because not only is the donor making a generous contribution, but they’re also calling others in to join them in supporting a cause they all care about. A matching donor offers everyone an opportunity to increase their impact and make a more significant difference. They foster a community of support, and we are thankful to them for their leadership. We’d also like to celebrate another group that helped build a community of support for Building Beyond Tomorrow: our fundraisers. We had seventeen fundraisers this year. Together, they raised $19,642 from 136 donors. Our fundraisers use their time and talents to rally their networks around our Girl Scouts. In the process, they invite more people to learn about our Movement and all the amazing things our Girl Scouts and volunteers do daily to make the world a better place.
Though we’re highlighting two groups today, we cannot state enough that the success of Building Beyond Tomorrow was a genuine community effort. Whether you shared your story or shared a post, whether you gave or asked others to, whether you attended a Giving HERsday event or tracked the progress online, YOU helped provide our Girl Scouts with a world of expanded possibilities.
