A summer of fun, friendship, and outdoor adventure is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to welcome your girl to Girl Scout camp!

This summer, we’re challenging girls to Think Outside! Whether that means spending time in the outdoors, learning about environmental stewardship, or using creative and artistic talents to explore nature – your girl will have the opportunity to make this year’s summer camp theme meaningful and unique to her while enjoying all our camps have to offer! Our three camps, Camp Graham , Camp Hardee, and Camp Mary Atkinson, have a wide variety of activities to participate in, like canoeing, swimming, archery, and arts and crafts to name a few.

In addition to all the fun your girl can have at our summer camps, she will also grow her skill set. National studies from the Girl Scout Research Institute (GSRI) show it’s not just what girls do, but how they do it that makes the Girl Scout camp experience so beneficial. Camps run by Girl Scouts are unique because girls get to learn by doing, and they do so in a girl-led environment. This means that, in addition to learning in a hands-on and active way, girls are encouraged to choose their activities, decide which topics they want to explore, and determine how they want to go about exploring them.

But that’s not the only benefit for girls when they explore and engage in the out of doors…

Time in nature promotes attention restoration
GSRI found that spending time in nature has been shown to improve concentration and creative reasoning among children and adults.

Outdoor spaces support physical play
Open outdoor space allows children to develop their movement capability and confidence, both of which create foundations for healthy, active lifestyles.

Nature provides novelty and challenge
Outdoor experiences often place girls in new situations that motivate curiosity and foster a sense of discovery. Outdoor challenges also require girls to become more self-aware and to cooperate, communicate, an solve problems more effectively.

Girls will experience all of these benefits through camp and there’s lots of ways to enjoy our summer camp programs too!

Troop Camp
Looking to explore the wilds of the great outdoors with your Girl Scout sisters? We offer weeklong and mini (3 days) troop camp sessions designed for groups of girls and adults to attend resident camp as a unit.

Family Camp
Show your family why Girl Scout camp is the best! Everyone will have the opportunity to swim, boat, do arts and crafts, play games, and enjoy a yummy s’more!

Specialty Camp
In addition to the traditional camp activities we offer, there’s also a variety specialty camp sessions available! Experience horses in a fun and safe environment with horse camp or learn how to become a camp staff member with our Counselor-In-Training sessions. There’s also sessions like Chopped Challenge for the aspiring chef and fun nighttime adventures.

Day Camp
Experience the adventure of camp during the day. Your girl will craft, swim, explore new things, and make new friends with other girls her age! Each week has a fun weekly theme that captures the spirit of camp and offers an optional overnight experience for campers as well.

Adventure Trips
Want to take the camp experience to the next level? Our Adventure Trips are a way to explore beyond camp and journey together with a group of girls to see what you can learn. We’ve got everything from surfing to rafting to hiking with llamas!
