Treats and Trophies for Top-Selling Girl Scouts

By Kelly Griffin, Product Sales Director

Drum roll please….. We have a new record!  During the 2014 Girl Scout Cookie Sale, our top three sellers each sold at least 4,000 boxes of cookies.  Wow, Girl Scouts! Way to go!

2014Top_SellersGirl Scouts – NC Coastal Pines celebrated these top-selling Girl Scouts on Saturday, May 31, at Imagination Station in Wilson, NC.  Girls and their families gathered for a catered luncheon with council CEO Lisa Jones, and then enjoyed an afternoon of fun exploring the museum.

Xena G. from Cary, NC, placed first selling 4,750 boxes of cookies! Xena joined the Girl Scouts in 2006 and was our number two top seller in 2013.  In just one year, she increased her sales from 3,041 to 4,750 boxes; a 56% increase overall! She also led the council in the 2013 Fall Product Sale as our top two seller. Xena is a member of Girl Scout Cadette Troop #15 and is planning a trip to Australia and New Zealand in 2015 with the travel-based Girl Troop #7000.

Our Second Place seller is Girl Scout Brownie Emerson F. from Winterville, NC, with 4,005 boxes sold! She was the top seller in Pitt County during the 2013 sale and had her eye on being the top seller in the council for 2014. Once you meet Emerson, there’s no doubting her ability to reach a goal.  As her mother says, “She has no fear when it comes to selling cookies.” She is a future entrepreneur!

Trailing second place by only five boxes, Antonina Q. from Fayetteville, NC, is top seller number three.  Nina had an amazing increase during this year’s sale jumping to 4,000 boxes from 1,226 boxes in 2013; a 226% increase. What an amazing leap in sales!  Nina is a member of Girl Scout Troop #888 and has been involved with Girl Scouts since 2008.

Also honored at the event was Taylor W., top seller for Operation Cookie Drop.  Taylor sold the most for the council’s military support program of any Girl Scout this year at 733 boxes; an almost 100% increase in her sales for this program, and a 50% increase over last year’s record for Operation Cookie Drop. Needless to say we were blown away and wanted to honor her! And to add to her success, she placed fourth overall during this 2014 sale, with 3,803 boxes sold.

Congratulations to all of this year’s top sellers.  Way to go, Girl Scouts!
