Volunteering is a Work of HeART!

Each year, we celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Month during the month of April in honor of all of the hard work, dedication, and heart that our Girl Scout volunteers display every day. Volunteering truly is a work of heART, and Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines is more than thankful for each and every one of our volunteers.

Whether it be planning an event or troop meeting, helping a Girl Scout plan for her highest awards, or packing up a car full of Girl Scout cookies for a cookie booth, our volunteers are the true meaning of selfless service. There are many ways that we can show our volunteers that we appreciate the time and energy that they put into volunteering. Check out some of the ways that you can show your appreciation this month below.

Send a “Heart”

Know a special volunteer that you want to thank? Surprise your troop leader, a member of your area admin team or any other amazing Girl Scout volunteer by sending a special heart to show your love and appreciation! You can send them a heart through our ENCORE Peer Appreciation form. When you submit a “thank you”, you and the volunteer you are recognizing will be entered in our weekly drawing!

Share a Shout-Out

Shout it from the rooftops! Share a volunteer shout-out and photos on your troop, local service unit social media group or through our Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines Co-Leaders Facebook group!

Post on our Kudos Board

Want to post about an amazing Girl Scout volunteer? Our Kudos Board is the perfect place to share photos and messages about your favorite volunteers! Visit the Volunteers are a work of HeART Kudos Board to write, and post thank you messages throughout the month.

Write Thank You Cards with your Troop!

Looking for a creative way to thank your troop leader or volunteer? Create personal “thank you” cards for troop leaders and other volunteers with your troop! Take photos of you and your Girl Scout sisters crafting your cards and submit them here to be featured!

Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all volunteers this Volunteer Appreciation Month, and every day. Your selfless commitment to the Girl Scout movement inspires girls and young women to lead and support topics that are important to them every day. Thank you, volunteers!
