Tour the Properties

Not sure what to expect at camp? Wondering where will my girl sleep and eat? Well, at open house you’ll be able to take a tour of the camp property! This will allow you and your camper to get a feel for what each of our properties have to offer. Whether you use the tour to decide if a property is the right fit, or just to get an idea of what a week will be like the tours have everything you need!
Have a camper whose already spent a summer, or summers, at camp? Consider having her give you a tour of the property! Not only will she be able to show you around her home away from home but nothing is better than her being able to tell you all her camp stories right where they happened.
Meet the Camp Staff

At all of our open house events girls and their families will have the opportunity to meet some of our camp staff. You might even get to know your future counselor! This is a great opportunity for girls who might be coming to camp for the first time or who are just a little nervous . Seeing a familiar face on the first day of camp can make a real difference. For our camping pros, this will allow you the opportunity to reconnect with some of your favorite staff members and maybe even get to know somebody new!
Ask Questions

We know whether you’ve sent your girl to camp before or not you will have questions about her stay this summer. At open house our staff will be prepared to help answer all of your questions. Many of your questions, like “what do the sleeping areas look like?” will be answered on the tour but staff can give you more information about programming, safety procedures, and so much more! This is a great time to ask camper specific questions, such as camper dietary restrictions!
Make New Friends!

Since open houses are open to all girls and their families, there will be plenty of new people to meet during your day at camp. Maybe your girl will find her new best friend and they can plan to attend the same session. These connections are great to provide girls with even more to look forward to when camp begins. It’s also a great opportunity for first time campers to meet experienced campers and find out what camp is like first hand!
Have Fun!

Most important open house serves as a day full of family fun! Besides just walking around the property and mingling with camp staff there will be opportunities to sample some of camp’s favorite activities.
