Summer starts here… at Girl Scout camp! Camp registration is now open for 2019 at Camp Mary Atkinson, Camp Graham, and Camp Hardee, and we cannot wait for all of the adventures to come!
At camp, Girl Scouts have the opportunity to discover anything is possible while enjoying all of the amazing amenities that our camps have to offer. Our three camps feature fun outdoor activities like swimming, watersports, archery, campfires, and so much more. No matter which camp or session that you attend, you will have an incredible time exploring the great outdoors and building important life skills such as teamwork, independence, and leadership. AND not to mention all of the awesome new friends you will make and camp memories you will share together!

With our wide variety of camp sessions, from traditional sessions to adventure sessions that include a llama trek, there is truly something for every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader) at camp. Read below for camp descriptions and some session highlights!
Camp Hardee
Camp Hardee is located on the south side of the Pamlico River with 95 acres of river frontage, woodlands, and open space. Girls are able to admire the beautiful property while participating in new adventures like swimming, hiking, boating, and arts and crafts. What makes Camp Hardee truly special is the beautiful views of the river. On a clear day, you can see dolphins jumping!
Session Highlights
Pioneer Grades- 9-12
Create your own camp experience! Innovate campers are entering grades 9-12 and get to choose which camp favorites that they would like to participate in: a floating lunch, an archery challenge, a dance party, and so much more.
CIT I – Grades 9-10
Do you love camp and enjoy working with younger children? Would you like to one day be a camp staff member? If so, join us and become a Counselor-in-Training (CIT). This training is one of the best ways to develop skills to become a truly fabulous future camp counselor.
Sailing I and II- Grades 6-12
Sailing can bring you relaxing days or challenging competition. By learning to sail a small boat with a certified instructor, you’ll learn the skills you need to build your confidence and ability to sail a boat well and safely.
Camp Graham
Situated on Kerr Lake in Vance County with 155 acres of lake front, open areas, and woodlands, Camp Graham is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream come true! Camp Graham is home to our incredible tree house cabins, with a wide range of camp activities including hiking, field and nature games, archery, swimming, sailing, and more.
Session Highlights
Badge Blitz- Grades vary
It’s all about thee badges! Come join us for a week filled with camp fun and badge activities. Girls will complete a variety of Outdoor and Legacy badges while enjoying watersports, arts & crafts, and nature play.
Entrepreneur Camp- Grades 7-12
Interested in learning how to start and run your own company? In just a week, campers will listen to each other’s ideas, form terms, be coached by educators and industry pros, design a product, create a prototype, and pitch their company ideas– all while also participating in awesome camp activities!
Amongst the Stars- Grades 8-12
Come Unravel the mysteries of the night’s sky as we explore the depths of the universe. Explore the camp on night hikes, search for the moon and planets through telescopes, and go stargazing. When not exploring the sky, you will enjoy all the fun that camp has to offer!
Camp Mary Atkinson
Camp Mary Atkinson is located in Johnston County, only 40 minutes away from Raleigh. The property spans over 278 wooded acres and is home to traditional resident camp, day camp, adventure trips and an on-site horse program. Depending on age level, campers are offered the chance to climb the alpine tower and boulder on the climbing grotto.
Session Highlights
Frolic- Grades 2-3
With both mini and regular sessions available, being a frolic camper is all about having fun, making new friends, and enjoying all camp has to offer. Make a s’more, create art to take home, go canoeing and swimming at the lake, learn new camp songs, and splash in the pool!
Choose Your Own Adventure- Grades 6-8
Can’t get enough of camp? Join us for a two-week session filled with even more of your favorite camp activities, cookouts, and adventures! Plan and create a project to leave a positive mark on camp, and take an offsite day trip during the weekend!
Innovate- Grades 9-12
Being an older girl at camp means working with your counselors to plan the best camp experience for you and your fellow campers! With so many activities to choose from, like archery, Swing by Choice at the Alpine Tower, tie-dye, and paddle boarding at the lake, the possibilities are endless!
Adventure Trips: Rock On- Grades 8-12
Reach new heights and depths on a climbing and caving adventure! We will head to Boone, North Carolina for a day of rock climbing on a natural rock face, and then embark on a caving expedition in Eastern Tennessee. Camp at a primitive campground, enjoy cooking over the fire, and explore the world around you.
Adventure Trip: Canopy Adventures Grades 8-12
Take a quick trip to the coast for two days of adventure! Zip through the canopy and see what lives in the trees, then take a boat tour through the swamp while learning about this fascinating ecosystem.
