Yes, Girl Scouts – you heard it here first! We’re kicking off the first annual National Girl Scout Cookie Day with our first-ever Twitter contest. We’ll be giving away Girl Scout merchandise and swag every hour from 9am-5pm and we’ll be selecting one grand prize winner to take home a year’s worth of Girl Scout cookies!
This contest is a great incentive to mention to customer’s who are buying (or have already purchased) Girl Scout Cookies as well as local businesses in your area.
Both the general public and Girl Scouts are encouraged to participate and take home some fabulous prizes.
You may be asking how does a Twitter contest work? We’ve provided an easy how-to guide to get you started!
- If you don’t have a Twitter account you can sign up here. Just pick a username and password and you’re ready to go!
- Follow @GirlScoutsNCCP
- On February 8th starting at 9am retweet (RT) one of our tweets that uses the hash tag #girlscoutcookies. We’ll be publishing a new #girlscoutcookies tweet every hour, so you can RT each of those to be entered to win Girl Scout Merchandise (given away every hour) and for multiple entries to win a year’s worth of Girl Scout Cookies! To retweet something, hover over above the message/tweet and below you’ll see two arrows that make a box with the word “Retweet” next to them. Simply click that to enter! See picture below for more details.
- You can enter as many times as you’d like – we’ll randomly be selecting our hourly giveaway from all the Retweets recorded and everyone will be put in the random drawing for the grand prize.
Below is a picture of what appears when you hover over a tweet in Twitter. You’ll see at the bottom the Retweet button appears. Simply click that and you are entered to win!
If you have any questions about the contest, simply paste this message in your content box and we’ll get back to you!
