Cash Prizes, Weekly Drawings, and Free Patches, Oh My! Why Girl Scouts Should Participate In Early Bird Registration!

June 24, 2014

By Samantha Herring, Communications Intern

Girl Scouts Early Bird RegistrationWouldn’t you love not having to worry about registering your girls and parents in the fall while you are coordinating all of your start-up activities? Taking a few minutes now to complete registration of your girls and adults means one less thing to do during the flurry of back-to-school activities and the planning your troop will be doing for an action packed fall. If that’s not enough to motivate you, how about some cold, hard cash? For qualified troops who participate in Early Bird Registration, there are weekly drawings till the end of June and then a final, grand-prize drawing for $500 on June 30th. And oh, the things your troop could do with $500! Once you register, your troop is eligible for all remaining drawings. So if you haven’t completed your troop registrations yet, there is still time—and girl is it worth it!

But Wait, There’s More!

Even if you don’t win one of the drawings, your troop will automatically earn a $15 Early Bird gift card that you can use in the council shop or for council activities. You might use it for badges the girls earn or to help pay for a troop leader’s First Aid or Overnight Camping training.  It’s a win-win opportunity.

Girls Will Earn Discounts

Girls who are registered by June 30th will get a 15% discount on any new 2014 resident camp registration or any Council event through May 31, 2015.

Help Your Area Win Cash

Based on the number of girls and adults registered for the new Girl Scouting year, your Area can win cash too: $200 if 30% of registrations are completed by June 30, $400 if 50% are completed, and $500 if 65% are completed. Imagine the smile on your Area director’s face!

Get the official Early Bird Registration details on the Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines website.

Take a few minutes now and help yourself, your troop, and your area. Help Council serve you better by completing Early Bird Registration. Then sit back, sip a cool glass of iced tea, and congratulate yourself on a job well done!

Top 5 Reasons to Register for Girl Scouts Now!

April 1, 2014

By Leslie Flood, Chief Business Officer

1977175_10152072485899092_1284490141_nApril 1 is the start of our Early Bird Registration and Renewal for the 2015 membership year at Girl Scouts – NC Coastal Pines! Here are the top 5 reasons to register now:

1. Beat the “back-to-school” madness. There’s so much to do in the fall – new teacher, buying school clothes and supplies, school fees – it’s crazy. Don’t add Girl Scout registration to the madness – Register Now!

2. Confirm girl and adult participation in your troop. With early registration, you know who is returning and who might need some extra encouragement. Early Bird helps identify those few extra spots to fill or if you need to recruit some additional parent support!

3. Your troop can hit the ground running in the fall! This year’s memberships expire on September 30. Have member registration out of the way so you can jump right into planning fall activities.

4. Girls will be excited for Back-to-Troop! We all want to know we have a place in the group. Help girls know that the troop is continuing and that everyone will be part of the troop again in the fall!

5. Girl Scouts is FUN! Girls have new experiences that inspire them to look forward to what they’re doing today, tomorrow, and years from now. And adults can be part of the fun too – Volunteer today!

If these reasons aren’t enough to sway you, check out our Early Bird incentives:
